Blue Tit

Blue Tit

A familiar and popular garden bird, Blue Tits can be seen throughout the year in a range of habitats.  Along with other garden birds, they become less obvious for a period in July and August when the young birds have fledged and adults keep a low profile during their moult.

Young Blue Tits are greener and yellower where the adult shows white and blue plumage, but by autumn they are less easy to distinguish.  This young bird below was photographed on the same feeder as the adult in the postcard.
